Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital is seeking an IT Systems Tech for a Full Time Position.

Shift: Days & On Call

Position Goal: The duties of an Information Systems Technician include supporting, maintaining, and evaluating all IT equipment. IS Tech is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual devices. An Information Systems Technician follows company standards for configuring and installing all equipment.  This individual will be required to serve as a Help Desk representative to assist in monitoring trouble tickets as well as serve in the on call rotation with other IT staff.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide support for physical and virtual devices at local and remote locations as needed.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, laptops, cloud monitors, thin clients, zero clients, phones, peripheral equipment, and software.
• Assist with installation of updates on various endpoints and network devices.
• Assist with PBX phone systems to include move add change, and updating configurations.
• Customer support representative for the IT department addressing network and technical issues as they arise.
• Work closely with senior IT staff on scheduling, projects, and documentation.
• Assist and take initiative in handling issues of a non-routine nature and manage time wisely.
• Assist in maintaining records/logs of repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Provide technical direction to users on computer and network usage as well as offer advice and instruction.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting LAN/WAN technologies.
• Ensure that work performed is done securely, protecting patient health information.
• Maintain a clean and organized server room and work area.
• Participate in the departmental 24/7/365 on call rotation and perform corrective actions as necessary.

Experience: 1-2 years of technical experience with basic client side and server side operating systems preferred. Helpdesk experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required with at least 1 year of post-secondary education or
High school diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 2 years of work experience as an IT Systems Technician or equivalent position with applicable certifications such as CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, etc.
Associates Degree in an IT related field preferred.
Special Qualifications: Knowledge of VM ware is preferred. Basic network troubleshooting skills required. Must be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with limited supervision. Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy is preferred.
